This role will be responsible for owning deal flow and partner management across key U.S. and Canada content partners, while also supporting global licensing deals across the broader Disney streaming portfolio.

Reporting to the Director, Content Partnerships, the Senior Manager will play a critical role in shaping film licensing strategy, identifying and evaluating content opportunities, leading partner-facing negotiations, and managing deals from initial strategy through execution and ongoing performance assessment. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires strong commercial instincts, advanced analytical skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across Content, Finance, Legal, Operations, Scheduling, Marketing, Product, and international teams.

We’re looking for someone who can combine rigorous quantitative analysis with creative and strategic judgment, build trusted relationships with external partners, and move complex deal processes forward in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will own and support film licensing deals across the U.S., Canada, and global markets. You will help shape film content strategy, manage partner relationships, lead complex deal processes, build financial models, and translate data and market insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

  • Own and manage deal flow with key film licensing partners across the U.S. and Canada, including opportunity identification, valuation, negotiation support, deal execution, and ongoing partner management.
  • Support global studio licensing deals, including international content strategy, cross-territory deal analysis, and partner discussions.
  • Assist in the development and communication of film content strategy internally and externally, leveraging data, market intelligence, performance insights, and creative judgment to optimize the film portfolio across Hulu and Disney+.
  • Serve as a primary day-to-day strategic and commercial point of contact for select studio, independent, and third-party film partners, maintaining strong relationships and identifying new licensing opportunities.
  • Manage all aspects of deal execution, including cross-functional coordination with Legal, Finance, Operations, Scheduling, and Marketing teams to ensure agreements are clearly structured, operationally executable, and aligned with broader business priorities.
  • Build, own, and refine complex financial models to support deal negotiations, portfolio planning, title valuation, scenario analysis, and ongoing efficiency tracking across key performance metrics.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, theatrical and streaming performance, windowing strategies, and partner slates to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
  • Lead long-term and ad hoc strategic projects, including competitive analyses, performance reviews, partner deep dives, and genre and category studies.
  • Mentor and help guide junior team members, providing analytical direction, process support, and feedback on strategic materials.
  • Translate data and market signals into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in content licensing, content strategy, business development, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing partner relationships and supporting or leading commercial negotiations.
  • Experience with U.S., Canada, and/or global content licensing deal structures.
  • Strong understanding of the film industry, including studio and independent film ecosystems, windowing, licensing structures, streaming marketplace dynamics, and key industry players.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Advanced proficiency in quantitative analysis using Excel, and building durable financial models that serve as ongoing decision-making tools.
  • Ability to evaluate content through both quantitative and qualitative lenses, combining performance data, marketplace context, audience behavior, and creative judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to synthesize complex analyses into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Strong business judgment, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder deal processes from strategy through execution.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while prioritizing and managing multiple projects concurrently with limited oversight.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with external partners and internal cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Finely honed sense of humor and willingness to participate in lively debates.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Hands-on experience in film content licensing, acquisitions, content strategy, or partner management at a major media company, streamer, studio, or entertainment platform.
  • Familiarity with international streaming markets and cross-territory licensing considerations.
  • Experience leading complex financial analyses involving large data sets, multi-title packages, windowing scenarios, and long-term portfolio planning.
  • Experience presenting to senior executives and influencing investment or programming decisions.
  • Prior account management experience.

Required Education
