Content Localization & Operations Supervisor (Parental Leave Cover)
Job Summary:
About the Role & Team
As Content Localization and Operations Supervisor, you will be part of the Programming & Production team within Content Planning DTC, supporting Disney+ across the Nordic region.
Based in Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm or Helsinki, this role plays a vital part in delivering a seamless, high‑quality viewing experience for audiences in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content Planning & Acquisitions Nordic, and working closely with the Director of Localisation Nordic & Baltic, you will collaborate with local, regional and global teams to ensure all localization, live planning and operational processes run smoothly and to deadline. You will also work closely with ESPN teams on live sports programming, as well as DCVI, Language Managers and external partners.
This role is parental leave cover, running from approximately June 2026 to June 2027. The position will be based in one of our Nordic offices - either Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki or Copenhagen, working four days a week on-site, with either Monday or Friday working from home.
You’ll join a team grounded in our Disney values — acting with Integrity, welcoming everyone through Inclusion, embracing boundless Creativity, working together through Collaboration, and caring deeply for our Community. These values guide how we work, how we partner across teams, and how we create experiences that resonate with audiences everywhere.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will oversee the operational and localization processes that bring Disney+ content to life across the Nordics, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness at every stage. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing operational processes for local content across Disney+ Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, ensuring materials are correctly ordered and delivered in line with local plans.
Coordinating scheduling and localization for live programming on Disney+ Nordics, working closely with ESPN sports teams.
Planning and scheduling in‑service content promotions, ensuring priority titles are effectively showcased to subscribers.
Overseeing all aspects of localization processes, including titles, dubbing and subtitling, and tracking progress through close collaboration with local, regional and global stakeholders.
Coordinating localization checks for priority DTC titles and ensuring key content and product features are localized on time.
Updating content schedules, trackers and live/linear plans to keep all teams aligned on upcoming content.
Using Looker to analyse performance data and support content localization prioritisation in partnership with Content and Merchandising teams.
Working with regional and global teams to ensure localization orders align with Nordic market plans.
Managing ad‑hoc operational projects and supporting taskforces for key launches across the region.
Contributing to analysis and insights that support future content development and acquisition strategies, helping maximise return on investment in the Nordic market.
Ensuring issues within the service are accurately reported and tracked with global teams via Jira.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Demonstrable experience working in process‑driven environments requiring exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and deadline management, ideally within broadcast, streaming or SVOD.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to share information clearly and effectively.
Experience working within a global entertainment organisation and building strong relationships across multiple territories.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
Confidence working with Excel or Google Sheets.
A proactive mindset, comfortable taking ownership and driving continuous improvement in processes and workflows.
A strong interest in entertainment and an openness to learning and working with evolving technologies.
Fluency in at least one of the Nordic languages - Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish or Danish.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with content management systems.
Familiarity with localization workflows, live programming or sports content.
Experience supporting analysis or performance reporting to inform content decisions.
