The position is part of the Entertainment Brand Solutions group – a part of Disney Advertising Sales, an integrated cross-platform national advertising sales and marketing organization within the Disney Entertainment Television (DET) business segment that includes Disney+, Hulu, Disney Channels, ABC, ABC Owned Television Stations, Freeform, FX, Nat Geo, ESPN and Disney Digital. 

Job Summary:

Disney Advertising Sales is seeking an Associate Manager to report into the Senior Manager, Entertainment Brand Solutions. The Associate Manager will be responsible for supporting the team’s advertiser solutions and project management for advertiser-driven, cross-platform brand initiatives tied to Entertainment tentpoles across Freeform, FX, Disney Channels, Hulu, and Disney+. This role operates in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround deadlines and spans paid brand partnerships, in-show integrations, product placements, and custom brand plays, requiring strong client-facing and production-facing skills.

This role is based in Los Angeles, California but open to other locations.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

Lead pre-sale process:

  • Creation of internal and client-facing presentation materials including decks and one sheets (must be proficient in Powerpoint and Sharepoint)

  • Proactive and reactive RFP idea generation 

Assist in management of the post-sale/activation process:

  • Manage approvals among key internal stakeholders (Legal, BS&P, PR, Business Affairs, studios, producers, etc.) and clients

  • Participate in management of the activation process: timelines, trackers, client/internal approvals, production shoots, post-production, etc.

  • Monitor and ensure project elements are delivering/activating across all platforms

  • Assist in project-related correspondence including legal agreements and project management documents

  • Review rough cuts and scripts as needed

  • Potential for client and producer communication

  • Potential to support on-set shoots

Drive team operations, content organization, and cross-functional project support by managing workflows, coordinating partnerships, maintaining key business resources, and ensuring seamless day-to-day execution across the organization:

  • Update all internal trackers and documents for team (ideally proficient in AirTable, SharePoint, Google docs)

  • Organizing and storing of branded content, partnership recaps, and case studies 

  • Oversee daily administrative and operational functions to support team workflows (including scheduling calls, manage budgets, processing billing etc.) 

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

  • 3+ years of marketing, sponsorship, promotion, branded entertainment and/or media at a broadcast/cable network, streaming platform, promotional/media agency or entertainment studio.

  • Strong interpersonal skills (especially in high stress environments) and professional presence

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must be able to translate oral ideas into written pitches.

  • Experience in project management across linear and digital/social

  • Adept problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrate creative thinking

  • Highly organized, attention to detail, time management skills, ability to multi-task

  • Self-motivated and proactive

  • Team player with the desire to learn and go above and beyond

  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, mornings, weekends and/or occasional travel

  • Proficient in Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Docs/Sheets, Airtable, Smartsheet

  • Expertise with social platforms including Meta platforms, TikTok, and YouTube

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $91,200 to $122,300 per year and in Santa Monica, CA is $87,100 to $116,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
