Job Summary:
The youngest of all of the ILM studios, the Mumbai studio leverages the expertise and technological know-how developed over 40 years at Industrial Light & Magic combined with the top artists and technicians in the region. Knowledge and culture flow freely between the company’s five studios and the global team provides tools and workflow allowing for seamless teamwork on all joint projects.
The IT Project Manager provides project management for the Systems Engineering group and IT Operations as a whole. Partnering closely with all IT managers and leads she/he will establish overall project requirements, plans and schedules and will provide consistent reporting to all groups regarding the status of IT tasks/projects. Ensures completion of projects through scope, time, cost, quality, resource, communication and procurement management.
Responsibilities:
● Manages project deliverables, milestones.
● Provide written and verbal project status reporting. Establishes and maintains the project plan, holds weekly status meetings. Maintains, updates, and publishes an ongoing issues list.
● Partners with IT Managers, Leads, to set priorities, allocate resources, and track projects from design through to implementation.
● Collaborate and coordinate cross-technology project efforts with teams outside of IT, including RnD, Global Pipeline, and Information Systems.
● Coordinates the daily activities of project teams.
● Forecasts and subsequently manages ongoing project budgets
● Facilitates Postmortem meetings and incorporates the lessons learned into future project management endeavors; evaluates and streamlines the process of each iteration.
● Set an optimistic and enthusiastic tone; promote communication and teamwork. Here are the skills and experience you need to be successful in this role: Required Skills / Competencies:
● Strong organizational and project management skills. Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of management, including peer-to-peer collaboration.
● Proven ability to ensure completion of objectives and assignments.
● Strong leadership skills. Experience with financial forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis
● Ability to establish priorities and multi-task efficiently, work with diverse personalities, and work within a high pressure environment while meeting strict deadlines.
● Ability to problem-solve in a high-paced creative environment which requires constraint, adaptability, and flexibility.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Exceptional team player, able to collaborate closely across multiple departments and business units with all individuals while demonstrating skills in diplomacy, flexibility, and patience.
● Highly detailed understanding in one or more current versions of the following technology products: Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft SCCM, VMware Enterprise Systems Virtualization Preferred Skills / Competencies:
● Experience in IT, Production Systems, or Media Systems technology is a plus. ● Experience in Film/Entertainment/Games production environment a plus.
● ITIL Experience is a plus.
Education / Experience:
● 7+ years project management experience which includes technical project management experience.
● Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with PMP or Prince 2.
