As a Project Manager – World Safety Assurance (WSA)- Technical at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing the magic to life by leading complex technology deployment initiatives across both domestic and international environments. You’ll oversee the entire project lifecycle for integrated hardware and software systems—from initial planning and requirements gathering to installation, testing, operational handoff, and ongoing maintenance—ensuring seamless execution and sustained performance. Acting as the key liaison among technical teams, operations, engineering partners, vendors, and executive leadership, you’ll coordinate multiple project streams with precision, balancing aggressive timelines, quality standards, and operational continuity. This dynamic position demands a strategic thinker with technical fluency, strong stakeholder management skills, and proven program leadership. Ideal candidates will have experience managing deployments of integrated systems such as surveillance/CCTV platforms, audiovisual networks, ride or industrial control systems, computer vision technologies, and advanced network infrastructure within highly complex operational settings, making this an exceptional opportunity to inspire innovation and deliver world-class experiences.

This is an Project Hire/Internal Assignment (IA) with no guarantee of permanent placement with an estimated end date of 10/02/2027.
What You Will Do
Lead end-to-end technology deployment projects across multiple domestic and international locations.
Manage project schedules, milestones, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and resource coordination to ensure successful execution.
Conduct site-specific technical requirements gathering, infrastructure assessments, and deployment planning activities.
Coordinate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
Manage third-party vendors, contractors, and technical partners during installation, commissioning, and support activities.
Facilitate technical meetings, stakeholder reviews, and executive presentations, translating complex technical information into clear project updates.
Define and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans to validate system functionality, reliability, and operational readiness.
Develop and maintain deployment dashboards, status reports, and project documentation to support program visibility and decision-making.
Collaborate with technical teams to define product features, implementation priorities, and deployment strategies.
Support long-term operational sustainability through training coordination, documentation development, and knowledge transfer activities.
Identify project risks, technical challenges, and potential bottlenecks proactively while implementing mitigation strategies.
Support deployment activities during non-standard business hours, including overnight work and international coordination calls when required.
Ensure sensitive operational and infrastructure information is handled with discretion and in accordance with company policies.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including technical debt reduction, scalability enhancements, and process optimization.
Required Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of experience in technical project management, program management, or technology deployment leadership.
Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects within fast-paced operational environments.
Experience coordinating hardware and software deployment initiatives across multiple locations.
Strong understanding of integrated technology systems, including CCTV/surveillance systems, AV systems, industrial or ride control systems, and network infrastructure.
Familiarity with computer vision technologies, edge computing environments, and AI-driven systems.
Knowledge of network infrastructure concepts including POE, VLANs, bandwidth management, and high-resolution video transmission.
Experience managing third-party vendors, contractors, and external technical partners.
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage technical teams and executive leadership effectively.
Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve problems strategically, and drive project decisions.
Experience facilitating technical reviews, status meetings, and executive briefings.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset.
Proficiency with project management and collaboration platforms such as Jira, Smartsheet, Monday.com, AirTable, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including overnight support and international coordination as needed.
Infrequent travel, including possible international travel.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience deploying AI, computer vision, or advanced analytics technologies within real-world operational environments.
Experience working within themed entertainment, attractions, manufacturing, industrial automation, or other large-scale operational industries.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product ownership responsibilities.
Experience collaborating with software engineering teams on feature planning and implementation roadmaps.
PMP, CAPM, CSM, or CSPO certification preferred.
Experience with technical debt reduction initiatives, scalability planning, and system optimization efforts.
Knowledge of infrastructure planning for high-availability systems and enterprise technology deployments.
Strong leadership presence with demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment across organizations.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

The position may be based in California or Florida, adhering to the office requirements and regulations specific to Disney Requirements.

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $119000 to $150000 & for Anaheim, CA $117000- 157000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
