Director, Product Management – Cross Platform Experiences

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial and collaborative Director, Product Management – Cross Platform Experiences to lead strategic consumer experience initiatives for our partnership with Epic Games in the development of an expansive digital universe connected to Fortnite.  The Director, Product Management – Cross Platform Experiences is a senior digital product leader responsible for shaping and executing a defined technology-driven product domain within the broader non gameplay integration strategy—bringing Disney’s businesses and divisions, including Parks, Imagineering,  Disney+, ESPN, Consumer Products, and other TWDC lines of business, into the Epic Games ecosystem. Reporting to the Vice President, Content Mobilization this role owns the product strategy for complex, distributed digital systems, translates enterprise and gaming product strategy into durable, multiyear roadmaps, prioritized initiatives, and technical product outcomes that support the larger Epic and Disney business objectives.

Operating with broad autonomy and cross company influence, the Director partners closely with engineering, platform, identity, data, and game development teams to define product requirements for APIs, services, platforms and integrations to execute the product vision and roadmap established at the VP and executive level. This leader orchestrates how Disney brands, IP, and experiences are integrated into Epic platforms by owning daytoday technical product planning, sequencing, and delivery across systems to ensure cohesive, datadriven guest experiences across digital and physical touchpoints, while enabling scalable growth across the DisneytoEpic ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Orchestrate Product Vision & Strategy

Define, communicate, and continuously refine a cohesive digital product vision for how Disney businesses and experiences connect into the Epic Games ecosystem, including identity, account linking, entitlements, content delivery, and integration services. Define technical product principles and guardrails in partnership with engineering to ensure scalability, reliability, and long-term platform health. Execute against the product vision and strategic direction established by the VP and executive leadership, owning the multiyear roadmap for this domain and ensuring initiatives ladder directly into enterprise priorities, brand objectives, and long term growth goals.

Translate Portfolio Strategy into Roadmap Execution

In partnership with Engineering and Disney Digital Entertainment Product Leads, drive roadmap planning, prioritization, and sequencing across multiple Disney‑to‑Epic initiatives translating broader business strategy and Epic gaming product priorities into executable plans. Balance near‑term delivery with long‑term platform and ecosystem thinking, making clear trade‑offs to maximize guest impact, scalability, and business value.

Lead Cross‑Company and Cross‑Functional Alignment

Act as a senior product counterpart to leaders across TWDC (Studios, Parks, Disney+, ESPN, Consumer Products, Imagineering) and Epic Games. Drive alignment in support of the VP-led product vision and roadmap across product, engineering, design, data, and business teams. Ensure Disney integrations into Epic platforms are coordinated, dependencies are managed, and outcomes are shared.

Own End‑to‑End Cross‑Platform Experiences

Oversee the definition and evolution of seamless consumer journeys that connect Disney brands and experiences into Epic Games products, integrating storytelling, identity, systems, data, and operational workflows across digital and physical touchpoints. Ensure experiences are cohesive, intuitive, and grounded in clear guest and business outcomes.

Drive Program‑Level Delivery and Accountability

Provide product leadership across large, multi‑workstream programs supporting Fortnite, and related Epic integrations—from discovery through launch and iteration. Establish technical success metrics alongside guest and business KPIs. Partner with engineering leadership on architecture reviews, dependency management, and technical risk mitigation.

Apply Platform and Ecosystem Thinking

Partner closely with engineering and technical leadership to influence Epic and Disney platform capabilities, integration patterns, and architectural direction. Ensure product decisions support scalability, sustainability, and reuse across Disney‑to‑Epic non‑gameplay experiences.

Influence Investment and Prioritization Decisions

Use data, experimentation, and consumer insights to evaluate performance and inform investment, resourcing, and roadmap decisions. Bring clear, well-reasoned recommendations to the VP and executive stakeholders, supported by measurable outcomes and trade‑off analysis.

Executive Communication and Representation

Represent product strategy, roadmap progress, and outcomes with clarity and confidence in senior forums. Act as a trusted proxy for the VP, escalating decisions appropriately and championing best practices for enterprise‑level product management.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in Product Management, including ownership of complex, cross‑platform or platform‑adjacent consumer products with enterprise impact.

  • Demonstrated experience owning technical digital products, leading a product portfolio or domain, including vision setting, roadmap ownership, and program‑level delivery.

  • Proven ability to operate across strategic and execution horizons—translating executive direction into durable product plans and outcomes.

  • Strong technical fluency and platform mindset, with the ability to partner effectively with engineering leadership.

  • Success navigating highly matrixed organizations and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and analytical skills, with a track record of driving alignment and measurable results.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with interactive media, gaming‑adjacent platforms, or large‑scale digital ecosystems.

  • Familiarity with identity systems, digital rewards, commerce, or data‑driven engagement platforms.

  • Experience building or scaling products that operate across multiple brands or business units across physical and digital touchpoints.
