Ad Platforms is responsible for Disney’s industry-leading ad technology and products – driving advertising performance, innovation, and value in Disney’s sports, news, and entertainment content, across all media platforms.

Job Summary

We are hiring a Product Dev Engineering Mgr, AI Core Engineering to lead a new Bangalore based team that will partner closely with our U.S. based AI Core organization to build and scale foundational AI platform capabilities across Ad Platforms. This team will execute against a shared global roadmap, delivering reusable and standardized agent frameworks, orchestration layers, and shared AI platform services that serve as common building blocks used by multiple teams across Ad Platforms.

You will oversee a growing team of backend and fullstack engineers building reusable AI application components, standardized agent capabilities, model integration services, and developer facing tooling that accelerate AI driven solutions across Ad Platforms. In close partnership with U.S. AI Core leadership, you will ensure consistent standards, strong execution, and measurable impact on product velocity and AI adoption. This role blends people leadership with delivery accountability and plays a critical role in scaling AI capabilities globally.

Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities

● Lead, hire, and develop a high performing team of backend and fullstack engineers focused on shared AI platform services.

● Execute against a unified global AI Core roadmap, ensuring alignment with U.S. based technical leadership.

● Deliver reusable and common agent frameworks, orchestration layers, and shared AI services used across multiple product and engineering teams.

● Build and maintain developer facing applications and control plane interfaces that enable experimentation, monitoring, evaluation, and self-service AI workflows.

● Ensure platform capabilities meet enterprise requirements for scalability, reliability, security, and governance.

● Drive consistent engineering standards, delivery rigor, and cross regional collaboration.

● Partner with product, infrastructure, security, and governance stakeholders to enable safe and compliant AI adoption at scale.

Core Deliverables

● Production ready, reusable AI agent frameworks and orchestration services adopted by multiple Ad Platform teams.

● Shared AI platform services that standardize model integration and workflow patterns.

● Internal dashboards and tooling that support evaluation, monitoring, and developer enablement.

● Measurable acceleration of AI adoption across Ad Platforms through standardized, scalable platform capabilities.

● A fully staffed and operational Bangalore AI Core team functioning as a strategic extension of the global AI Core organization.

Basic Qualifications

● 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2+ years in an engineering leadership role.

● Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages, with experience building scalable backend systems.

● Experience delivering production AI systems, reusable platform services, or developer tooling.

● Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs and working with orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.

● Experience building standardized, reusable components adopted across multiple teams. ● Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and modern engineering best practices.

● Demonstrated ability to lead and develop backend and fullstack engineers in a distributed environment.

● Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams in partnership with U.S. based organizations.

● Background in AI platform, developer enablement, or shared services engineering.

● Knowledge of AI governance, safety, observability, or compliance frameworks.

● Experience with enterprise AI services such as AWS Bedrock or Azure AI.

● Experience designing multi-agent systems or workflow-based AI architectures.

● Experience presenting technical strategy and delivery updates to senior leadership.

Experience with:

● Scalable backend systems and microservices.

● AI orchestration frameworks and agent workflows. • Shared AI services and model integration layers.

● Developer-facing dashboards or internal tooling.

● AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud environments. • Cross-regional engineering collaboration.

Required Education:

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (Master’s preferred), or equivalent experience.
