Sr Workforce Business Analyst
Job Summary:
The Senior Workforce Business Analyst is a strategic and analytical role responsible for developing and maintaining complex workforce forecasts, analyzing key performance metrics, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business results. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and partners across the organization. The analyst will also mentor peers and hourly Cast Members, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and inclusion. The role is accountable to important project work and is the primary support of the Workforce Strategy Manager – Business Analytics in their absence.
RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS
Drives Results
- Develop and maintain complex forecasting models for workforce metrics—including transactions, demand, staffing, separations, and absences—across multiple lines of business and properties, ensuring accuracy through continuous input validation and adjustment
- Create quantitative and/or qualitative analysis to support business decisions for workforce strategies and perform ad hoc analysis as necessary
- Validate, review, and submit weekly workloads for Scheduling teams
- Develop monthly hiring, training and conversion recommendations for review and negotiation with partners and Executives
- Develop Annual Operating Labor, Staffing, and Training Plans
- Demonstrate influence and negotiation skills with Operating partners including Executives, Scheduling, Industrial Engineering, Casting, Finance and Training to drive business results
Ensures Accountability
- Analyze and validate data from multiple sources to deliver actionable insights that support client and partner decision-making
- Leverage strong technical and analytical skills to generate measurable, data-driven insights
- Act as a change agent, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement
- Exercise sound judgment in daily decisions, escalating issues to leadership when appropriate
Communicates Effectively
- Lead meetings related to projects and other initiatives. Provide necessary communication in the absence of the Workforce Strategy Manager – Business Analytics
- Ensure information is communicated to partners in a way that influences understanding and action if applicable
- Ensure relevant information is communicated to Cast Members in a way that inspires understanding and action if applicable
- Effectively communicate successes and challenges with the scheduling process to the appropriate stakeholders while effectively implementing resolution
Develop Others
- Lead, mentor and develop one or more hourly Cast Member(s) fostering a culture of growth
Collaboration and Integration
- Foster strong client and partner relationships through collaboration and idea-sharing to achieve shared goals
- Contribute to the design and implementation of tools and processes that enhance workload and staffing efficiency
- Ensure consistency and efficiency by working seamlessly across Cast Scheduling & Workforce Strategy
Project Management
- Develop project plans that include appropriate partners, timelines and goals
- Motivate team members to execute based on project plans aligned with strategic goals
- Monitor processes and keep projects on schedule through prioritization and delegation
- Communicate the execution of project plans to partners/stakeholders
- Demonstrate conflict resolution skills and partners appropriately with senior leaders as needed
- Effectively manage the necessary change management process related to key projects
- Possess excellent time management skills to effectively manage administrative time related to broader project scope
BASIC QUALIFCATIONS
- 2 to 4 years of workforce planning, business analysis, or related experience, demonstrating professionalism and maturity in an hourly or salaried role, and experience leading or mentoring others
- Ability to lead and adhere to confidentiality training regarding all communication, data, intellectual property, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships at all levels with a focus on Guest service
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Demonstrated strong organization, multi-tasking and time management skills with attention to detail
- Strong technical and analytical skills with experience in analytic software packages, data visualization tools and statistical programs (e.g., Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, SAS) and adaptable to new technologies
- Passion and commitment to diversity and inclusion including inviting diverse perspectives, promoting an inclusive work environment and driving workforce diversity through recruitment efforts
- Proven knowledge in the Cast Scheduling & Workforce Strategy systems and processes
- Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including time of day, weekends, and holidays
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of Leadership experience
- Thorough understanding of Disney Policies, Collective Bargaining Agreements and laws related to workload, staffing, and scheduling processes
- Experience with HR systems, tools and reporting processes
- Experience working in technology and process improvement projects related to workload and staffing
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High school degree or equivalent
PREFERRED EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in related business/computer science/project management or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim is $87,100.00 - $116,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
