Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Talent & Growth (T&G) India is responsible for shaping and driving the end-to-end talent, leadership, organizational capability and inclusion agenda across Disney’s India business, The role leads the design and execution of scalable strategies across capability building, talent development, performance management, and inclusion, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enterprise/ regional frameworks.

Responsibilities include consulting, designing, facilitating and program managing different learning, change and transformational programs and interventions for different audience levels. The incumbent will take care of scaling up and delivering these T&G offerings across the India market catering to cast members across businesses. Operating within the broader APAC framework, the role ensures strong alignment with regional priorities while tailoring solutions to India’s growth needs.

This role will also partner with the Sr. Manager, Talent & Growth, based in Burbank, CA to execute organization development and culture initiatives in India.  The incumbent may also be later assigned to lead or support future Enterprise and/or Region programs servicing all APAC markets, consistent to the APAC Talent & Growth team’s operating model.  

The position reports to the Head of Talent & Growth, APAC, with a dotted line to the Head of People & Culture, India, and includes responsibility for leading outcomes through both direct team management and cross-functional influence.

Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering & Consulting:

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders and People & Culture partners, translating business priorities into integrated talent and growth strategies. 
  • Lead end-to-end diagnosis, design, and delivery of talent and growth solutions, ensuring alignment to business objectives and long-term capability needs. 
  • Partner across T&G to deliver holistic, enterprise-aligned solutions spanning organization effectiveness, leadership, talent, learning, and inclusion. 
  • Leverage data, insights, and external benchmarking to inform decisions, shape interventions, and define success measures, ensuring continuous improvement and measurable impact
  • interventions, and elevate impact. 

Organization Development & Effectiveness:

  • Provide consulting expertise on organization design and effectiveness, supporting leadership and team transitions.
  • Drive impactful leadership development interventions for business leaders and management teams.
  • Partner with leaders on talent pipeline and capability needs to support business growth
  • Facilitate leadership sessions and team interventions to drive alignment and performance
  • Embed inclusive leadership practices to build a high-performing, inclusive culture

Organization Capability:

  • Develop organizational capacity for current and future business needs through relevant learning curriculum, leadership programs, and talent strategies.
  • Design and implement core competencies using various learning formats.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of talent and capability programs across markets, ensuring consistency, quality, and impact.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to leverage best-in-class tools, practices, and solutions. 
  • Define and track success metrics (e.g., talent pipeline strength, engagement, diversity, business outcomes) to measure impact and continuously improve solutions. 
  • Lead and manage external vendor partnerships, ensuring strategic alignment, quality delivery, and cost effectiveness.

People Leadership:

  • Lead and develop the T&G team, providing clear direction, coaching, and stretch opportunities to build capability and drive high performance. 
  • Create a collaborative, accountable team environment, balancing hands-on guidance with empowerment to deliver strong business outcomes

Other Responsibilities:

  • Participate in annual T&G planning and quarterly learning calendar management for APAC and India
  • Manage ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline (e.g., Human Resources, Adult Education, Psychology) from an accredited institution; Master's degree a plus.
  • 10+ years demonstrated success and relevant experience in organization consulting, business partnering, learning delivery, and leadership facilitation; experience with global technology multinational companies a plus.
  • Deep subject matter expertise and a passionate commitment to progressive learning, organizational development theory, and talent development; DE&I experience a plus.
  • Strong people leadership experience with demonstrated success developing high-performing recruiting teams and inclusive team cultures.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, whether working independently or leading project teams; regional experience is a plus.
  • Proven effective facilitation skills.
  • Exceptional communication and influence skills, adept at managing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to identify innovative ways for T&G to support business strategy.
  • Mature with a strong sense of responsibility, proactive initiative, and a collaborative team player.
  • Possesses a good balance between strategic thinking and attention to detail.
  • Regional job, consulting, and people management experience are pluses.
  • Periodic business trips may be required as needed.
