Job Summary:

The Sr. Manager, Investor Relations is a senior individual contributor within Disney Corporate, operating at the intersection of finance, strategy, and communications to serve as a subject matter expert on the Company’s operating and financial priorities for the global investment community. In this role, you will lead high-visibility, time-sensitive work that shapes how investors, analysts, and other stakeholders understand The Walt Disney Company’s performance, strategic priorities, and long-term value creation.

Responsibilities

As a skilled and experienced problem-solver, you will lead key elements of the earnings process, investor and analyst engagement, and cross-functional coordination across Disney’s corporate and segment finance teams. Acting as a strategic, persuasive, and collaborative team player, you will translate complex financial and operational information into clear, compelling narratives that support senior executives and reinforce Disney’s position as a leading-edge, innovative entertainment company. This individual contributor role matters because it ensures Disney’s story is communicated with rigor, precision, and insight, requiring strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills to be successful.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and lead significant portions of the team’s day-to-day analytical workflows, including consensus modeling, peer benchmarking, and shareholder targeting to support earnings and investor communications.
  • Develop, review, and refine key deliverables for quarterly earnings cycles, ensuring messaging and materials are accurate, consistent, and aligned across corporate and segment partners.
  • Partner closely with FP&A, Controllership, and segment finance teams to synthesize complex financial and operational dynamics into clear insights that inform strategic communication and investor messaging.
  • Lead internal analyses and ad hoc projects, including executive- and Board-level presentations, that inform strategic priorities and help senior leaders communicate Disney’s financial storyline to external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong, transparent relationships with investors and sell-side analysts, engaging directly on behalf of the Company and supporting conferences, roadshows, and one-on-one meetings.
  • Track and synthesize key insights from the investment community and competitive landscape, proactively surfacing themes, risks, and opportunities that shape Disney’s strategic narrative.
  • Collaborate with senior corporate executives and segment leadership to prepare for earnings announcements, investor conferences, and Board meetings, including developing speaking points, Q&A, and executive-level presentations.
  • Act as a strategic, persuasive communicator who can simplify complex ideas, influence senior stakeholders, and help align cross-functional partners around clear, consistent investor messaging.
  • Continuously improve analytical processes, reporting, and communication tools to enhance the quality, efficiency, and impact of Investor Relations deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong financial acumen with proficiency in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and a solid understanding of equity markets, financial statements, and investor communications.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading investor relations, finance, equity research, or related functions, with direct exposure to earnings processes, investor meetings, or analyst engagement.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of independently leading complex, multi-stakeholder workstreams under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to craft clear, compelling narratives and executive-level presentations for diverse audiences.
  • High standard for accuracy, polish, and disciplined self-review, with acute attention to detail in analyses and materials.
  • Proactive, strategic problem-solver who can anticipate issues, navigate complexity, and propose practical, data-driven solutions.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to build strong partnerships across corporate and segment functions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with market data or investor CRM tools is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree + in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in investor relations, finance, equity research, investment banking, or related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in the media, entertainment, or related industries, with familiarity of sector-specific dynamics and investor expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and build trust with senior executives through clear, strategic, and data-driven communication.
