Assistant Manager, Marketing & Partnerships - 1 year contract

PROJECT BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES
Disney is bringing the highly anticipated ultimate fan event D23 Asia to Singapore. To maximize strategic value and ensure brand equity with commercial partners, we are seeking a dedicated Singapore-based contract Associate Manager to support ongoing marketing and partnership execution activities. This individual will be responsible for supporting the event Marketing lead on marketing efforts primarily in Singapore, as well as owned media in APAC and US, and will operate as the central bridge between assigned event partners and internal Disney Lines of Business (LOBs), ensuring all contractual obligations are seamlessly operationalized, executed, and analyzed.
SCOPE OF WORK & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Support
- Campaign execution: Provide support in relation to the execution of the full marketing campaign, from positioning and messaging to tactical execution, performance monitoring, and post-event evaluation
- Budget management: Keep track and monitor budget efficiency and resource allocation, ensuring measurable ROI and disciplined financial management
- Agencies and stakeholder management: Collaborate day-to-day with agencies, optimizing efficiency, creativity, and measurable impact across marketing efforts. As well as communicating and aligning with internal APAC and US teams for marketing support and approvals.
Partnership Support
- Strategic alignment: Understand and initiatives goals, objectives, brand guidelines, and strategic visions of each assigned partner, mapping them effectively against Disney's commercial guidelines.
- Account management & liaison: serve as the central, day-to-day contact for assigned event partners/sponsors that are multi-national and/or based in Greater China region and internal Disney Lines of Business (LOBs)
- Partnership execution: seeing to execution contractual obligations and connecting to project blueprints that fully maximize partners’ resources; producing deliverables that meet partners expectations while adhering to timelines and brand considerations
- Onsite & promotional execution: oversee and execute partner touchpoints on ground, including customized brand showcases, experiential integrations, VIP hospitality elements, and pre-event promotional campaigns.
KEY PROJECT DELIVERABLES
- Marketing execution: support in developing audience-centric plans, understanding budgets, audience sizing, consumer insights, media flighting, message distribution, and reporting
- Synergy of marketing efforts: across Disney’s campaign, partners including Corporate Alliance partners and Singapore Tourism Board, as well as internal Disney Lines of Businesses, to align and maximize efforts and impact
- Activation toolkit for partners: A consolidated toolkit that contains briefing, design, and approval documents/files needed for partners to efficiently create and execute activities
- Partner VIPs’ hospitality plans: end-to-end plan that includes VIP arrangement, VIP profile compilation/name tags/security access clearances, actual VIP support operations plan
- Integrated partnership activation plans: partners’ marketing and communication plans, branding designs, VIP benefits/hospitality operational plan for each sponsor
- Pitch deck and documentation: building upon and refreshing material to prepare for future pitches
- Partner project timeline implementation tracker: documenting key milestones, critical dates, and critical path to go live
- Weekly or biweekly project updates: status reports and updates that document progress and discussions
- Other deliverables that’s critical for delivery of partners’ contractual obligations, as well as D23 Asia marketing plan
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
- University degree or equivalent professional credentials with 5 to 8 years of experience in brand marketing, partnerships marketing, strategic key account management, event sponsorships, and complex project execution. Master degree preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of Disney, Disney’s franchises, Shanghai Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Disney Cruise Line. Understand Disney’s brand guardrails and storytelling
- Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment; Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders
- Positive attitude, proactive, self-driven and resourceful to understand what needs to be done and drive to completion
- Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and creativity to apply robust business judgment and commercial sense to maximize partnership values
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to distill complex operational topics into executive updates and presentations for senior partners and internal leadership.
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguous operating environments, establish key project priorities and structures
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel for professional client-facing proposals and structured data tracking.
