About Disney Cruise Line

Since launching in 1998, Disney Cruise Line has established itself as a leader in the cruise industry, providing a setting where families can reconnect, adults can recharge and children can experience all Disney has to offer. Today, the award-winning Disney Cruise Line continues to expand its blueprint for family cruising with a fleet of six ships — the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, and Disney Treasure — and seven more ships on the way, including the expanded relationship with Oriental Land Company Ltd. to bring Disney cruise vacations to Japan, by 2031. About the Role

This Manager, Media & Digital - Greater China role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in media planning, social content development, digital marketing, campaign management, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, brand-driven environment.

As part of the team, the Manager, Digital & Media – Greater China role will lead the development and execution of social and digital strategies across Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan to drive awareness, engagement, and bookings for Disney Adventure. The role will collaborate closely with agencies, media partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure all content reflects the Disney Cruise Line brand identity, meets storytelling standards, and upholds quality benchmarks.

We’re seeking proactive and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for storytelling, social content and digital marketing. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver, resourceful, and a collaborative team player with strong communication skills. Success in this role requires sharp attention to detail and a solid understanding of social trends and digital marketing best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a social-first digital strategy for China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, aligned with business goals, audience segments, platform behaviours and local market priorities.
  • Lead the localization of social and digital campaigns to ensure cultural relevance, platform fit and strong alignment with Disney Cruise Line brand standards.
  • Create, schedule, publish and optimize engaging content across key social platforms, ensuring all assets are on-brand, locally relevant and aligned with brand values.
  • Lead always-on and campaign-based content strategies across the funnel, from awareness and consideration to conversion.
  • Partner with internal cross functional teams and agencies to develop high-quality, platform-native and cross-channel content.
  • Manage online communities by monitoring and responding to comments, messages and mentions, while using social listening to identify opportunities, risks and consumer sentiment.
  • Drive authentic advocacy and user-generated content to build trust, social proof and sustained engagement.
  • Leverage social media trends, platform updates, algorithm changes and best practices to increase reach, engagement and follower growth.
  • Own social and digital KPIs including reach, engagement, traffic, sentiment, conversion and bookings.
  • Analyze current marketing and social performance to identify gaps, optimize campaigns and recommend improvements.
  • Support paid media planning and buying across digital and social platforms, working with media agencies to optimize audience targeting, budget allocation, campaign performance and ROI.
  • Use data insights, A/B testing, platform analytics and social listening tools to improve performance, ROI and cost efficiency.
  • Build and manage relationships with key platform partners including Douyin, Xiaohongshu, WeChat, Tencent, iQIYI and Alibaba ecosystem partners.
  • Identify new platform features, beta opportunities, commerce integrations, mini-programs, livestreaming and social commerce opportunities.
  • Collaborate with e-commerce and travel partners to support seamless conversion journeys from discovery to booking.
  • Work closely with internal marketing, creative, media, trade and sales teams to plan and execute integrated campaigns that support business and brand objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience in social and digital marketing, with strong Greater China experience.
  • Deep understanding of China digital and social platforms, including Douyin, Xiaohongshu, WeChat and Weibo.
  • Experienced in developing media, social, creative and digital marketing plans across Greater China.
  • Strong knowledge of full-funnel marketing, performance metrics and campaign optimization.
  • Proven experience managing agencies, social campaigns and digital budgets.
  • Experience in travel and hospitality industry is an advantage  
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strategic and creative thinker who can use data and insights to inform decisions.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, curious and self-motivated a can-do attitude.
  • Proficient in MS Office; Adobe Photoshop skills preferred.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English - strong written, verbal and presentation skills.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Media, Social Media or a related field.
