Your environment 

The Digital Technology Department delivers enterprise-scale digital solutions supporting Disneyland Paris commerce, Guest experience, integrations, and operational systems. We are seeking an experienced Lead Developer who combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership. You will guide solution design, strengthen engineering practices, mentor developers, and help ensure the successful delivery and operation of strategic digital initiatives. 

Your responsibilities 

  • Lead solution design for large-scale applications, services, and integrations. 

  • Provide hands-on engineering contributions for complex or high-risk components. 

  • Guide architecture decisions within the team and ensure alignment with enterprise standards. 

  • Establish and reinforce coding standards, code-review practices, and engineering guardrails. 

  • Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and Delivery Leads to translate objectives into executable technical plans. 

  • Drive estimation, sequencing, delivery quality, and technical risk management across initiatives. 

  • Mentor developers through design reviews, pairing, coaching, and constructive technical feedback. 

  • Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness. 

  • Support incident response, root-cause analysis, performance improvement, and reliability initiatives. 

  • Evaluate approved technologies and AI-assisted engineering practices that can improve quality, flow, and developer productivity. 

  • Collaborate effectively with international teams, vendors, and business stakeholders. 

  • Serve as the principal technical leader for the Front-End and Digital Commerce ecosystem, defining platform strategy, modernization roadmaps, engineering standards, AI adoption, and architecture direction across multiple product teams and shared services. 

  • Advocate for AI-assisted and Agentic software engineering, developer productivity improvements, platform automation, and modern software delivery practices across the organization. 

  • Own the technical strategy and roadmap for projects ensuring alignment with business priorities, scalability requirements, platform modernization goals, and long-term sustainability. 

  • Define and govern engineering standards for mocking, service virtualization, contract testing, integration testing, and quality engineering best practices. 

  • Define standards, lifecycle management, upgrade strategies, and governance for JavaScript frameworks, shared frontend libraries, and engineering tooling. 

  • Lead platform modernization initiatives including Node.js, Next.js, Vitest, analytics libraries, shared services, and other strategic technical migrations. 

  • Establish performance engineering standards focused on Core Web Vitals, page performance, accessibility, scalability, reliability, and overall user experience. 

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, Quality Engineering, Security, Operations, and Business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into scalable technical solutions. 

  • Mentor senior engineers and technical leads, fostering engineering excellence, knowledge sharing, architectural consistency, and continuous professional development.

What you bring 

  • At least 8 years of software engineering experience. 

  • At least 3 years in a technical lead, lead developer, or comparable senior engineering role. 

  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale applications and integrations. 

  • Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, cloud-native development, and API design. 

  • Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions. 

  • Experience with production operations, incident response, and root-cause analysis. 

  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Experience working with distributed or international delivery teams. 

  • Fluent English; working French proficiency is strongly valued.
