The Store Manager acts as a brand ambassador by consistently creating a store environment that is engaging, entertaining, innovative, and magical; upholding the integrity of the Disney brand; and emulating Disney Store Competencies.

You will report to the Sr. Manager, Disney Stores, North America

What You Will Do

• Develops a high-energy work environment that supports the achievement of all Company goals and initiatives. 
• Inspires Cast and Store Leadership Team to achieve maximum performance levels through daily coaching and performance management.
• Leads the team in fostering teamwork and collaboration among Store, peers, and Home Base partners. 
• Drives the team and contributes to the achievement of exceptional results through motivating the Cast, scheduling effectively, and controlling expenses. 
• Ensures the Stage Manager role inspires Cast to share knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion for the Disney brand with Guests through coaching of the Leadership Team.
• Prioritizes allocation of time to champion and deliver the Disney experience for all Guests.
• Empowers the Cast to deliver a uniquely Disney and entertaining Omni-channel Guest Experience.
• Builds and maintains excellence in Store standards that uphold the Guests’ expectations in storytelling and visual standards.
• Shares ideas with the Sr. Manager, Disney Stores, North America, to optimize innovative, high-quality product accessibility that meets the Guests’ needs.
• Selects, develops, and retains Store Leadership Team and Cast through the use of the Disney Store Competencies and networking in the market.
• Develops Store Leadership Team and Cast through teaching, coaching, and providing challenging assignments for growth.
• Rewards and recognizes the team; celebrates the achievements of others.
• Inspires and motivates the team to work collaboratively, fostering the Disney culture; leads by example.
• Fosters community relationships to support the needs of the community.
• Develops positive, trusting, and collaborative working relationships within the Store, Region, and Home Base.
• Collaborates and shares best practices and feedback with peers and leaders.
• Optimizes Store sales opportunities through strategic thinking and exceptional Guest experiences.
• Delivers operational excellence while controlling expenses (payroll, shrink, supplies, etc.) to positively impact the Store’s profitability.
• Champions collaboration and franchise priorities.
• Ensures compliance with all Company policies and procedures to protect Company assets and to comply with federal, state/provincial, and local laws.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Two to four years of successful store leadership in a specialty retail environment
• Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a team that drives results
• Proven ability to manage multiple business priorities through effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Strong proficiency in business acumen
• Job may require lifting boxes that weigh up to 40 pounds and climbing a ladder
• Occasional overnight travel may be required
• Must have open availability for a flexible work schedule that meets the needs of the business, including overnights, evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts
• Must maintain the Disney Look professional appearance

The hiring range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $71,600 to $95,900 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
