Job Summary:
Job Purpose
- The incumbent will primarily be handling regional research (primary & secondary) that spans SEA markets, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand & Vietnam. This also includes leveraging external databases to identify market trends & to prepare dashboards, aimed at helping the company and its various lines of business to achieve their business objectives. He/ she will be tasked with providing insights into consumer behavior across a wide range of areas, from general lifestyle to spending to digital media consumption etc.
- Secondary focus would be to support research work across North Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the needs for research & insights of the local streaming & studio teams and to manage all related primary & secondary research
- Manage key external databases and draw insights/ prepare dashboards for regular reporting & on ad hoc topics as and when required
- Manage all phases of research, with the following day-to-day responsibilities:
- Take brief, design & develop project plans and brief research agencies
- Monitor fieldwork, provide progress updates and work closely with agencies to execute projects as well as to resolve any logistical issues
- Review deliverables (including questionnaires, survey links, discussion guides and reports) from research agencies and work closely with them to make sure all deliverables meet the project objectives and requirements
- Handle all administrative related tasks for the research projects (e.g. vendor application, contracts & invoices etc.)
- Analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative research findings and provide insightful reports and presentations with compelling stories and points of view (as opposed to just data and information) to inform business decisions
- Present research findings to executive team/ lines of business and be able to explain the implications for our business as and when required
- Work closely with the global research team on research projects and provide on-the-ground support in project implementation
- Collect secondary data from various sources to support business and strategy planning as and when required
Requirements
Education:
- At least a bachelor degree in Business Management, Marketing, Psychology, Social Science, or Statistics
Experience:
- Minimum 7-8 years of solid quantitative & qualitative experience from research agencies and/or client companies. Client side insights experience and stakeholders’ management highly preferred
- Comprehensive experience in multi-country research project management, including questionnaire/discussion guide design, sampling, statistical modeling/ analysis and fieldwork and agency management
- Experience in presenting research results to senior executives in English
Knowledge:
- Good knowledge of different methodologies, advance analytics approaches as well as research types (e.g. branding, feasibility studies, pricing & concept tests etc.)
- Strong hands-on experience in managing multi-country research
- Well versed in media / entertainment/ digital industries (highly preferred)
Core Skills:
- Ability to design and execute qualitative & quantitative research projects independently from start to finish
- Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills to identify and communicate business implications
- Ability to turn research data into succinct and strategic intelligence
- Excellent written and spoken English (native like)
- Outstanding communication at all levels
