Job Summary:

About the Role:
The likes, dislikes, problem areas & the growth opportunities are hidden in the consumer behaviour in an unadulterated form- sharp analytics and insight mining is required to bring it to life. This key focus area for this role is to unearth this treasure to set the business agenda.

Context:
Star Plus is the #1 Hindi GEC channel in India. It has retained its leadership positions by driving innovations in viewer engagement and experience since their inception. This role will be a part of the Programming Strategy and Insights team at Star Plus & focus on extracting insights from data to boost channel performance.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing a plan to leverage key opportunities and combat threats to maximize viewership by leveraging data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights. Identification of key growth area
  • Identifying macro trends, developing strategy and designing solutions & developing and tracking health metrics for the business
  • Creating compelling presentations / notes outlining the problem/opportunity areas, key insights and the way forward
  • Giving inputs to design FPC (Fixed Point Chart) based on the viewership trends.

Performance Measures:

  • Channel GRPs
  • Identification of key trends, opportunities, threats
  • New ideas to grow viewership
  • Timely, seamless and errorless execution
  • Channel viewership, leadership & margin share
  • Show success ratio & longevity

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in any field, 6 to 8 years of experience
  • Strong affinity and POV on content
  • Comfortable working with large volume of data
  • Ability to distil insights from data
  • Stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of BARC, Viewership Metrics, Microsoft excel, Programming ops, Media Ops (Preferably from programming ops of other channel, Media ops of anu media agency) will be a plus
