Job Summary:


  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of consumer behavior across TV and Digital platforms: Dive deep into the viewing habits, preferences, and engagement levels of our audience on both television and digital platforms. This includes understanding how different consumer segments interact with our content and identifying key trends in content consumption
  • Utilize big data to identify consumption patterns and consumer profiles: Query large datasets to uncover patterns in how our content is consumed. Develop detailed consumer profiles based on their interaction with our content, which can inform targeted content creation and marketing strategies
  • Apply advanced analytics to assess growth opportunities and identify target audiences: Use analytical modelling to whitespaces that have outsized growth potential. Identify new target audiences and niche markets that can be tapped into to expand our reach
  • Generate data-driven insights to make actionable recommendations on content, programming, and scheduling: Analyse data to provide strategic recommendations on what content to produce, how to program it, and the best scheduling practices to maximize viewership and engagement
  • Formulate analytical approaches to address business challenges: Develop innovative analytical methodologies to solve complex business problems. This could involve creating new models or adapting existing ones to provide more accurate insights
  • Oversee and manage analytical resources to focus on deriving consumer and content insights: Lead a team of analysts, ensuring that their efforts are aligned with the goal of generating valuable insights. Prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively to meet business objectives
  • Present findings to leadership and construct narratives supported by insights: Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership, translating complex data into compelling stories that drive strategic decisions. Ensure that insights are clearly communicated and actionable


  • Generation of actionable insights: The quality and impact of the insights provided, measured by their implementation and the subsequent results
  • Growth in subscriptions on Disney+ Hotstar: Track the increase in subscription numbers and link them to the data-driven strategies implemented
  • Increase in viewership metrics (reach and engagement): Measure the growth in content reach and viewer engagement, attributing changes to specific recommendations and strategies


  • MBA from a premier B-School (preferably with a background in engineering, statistics, or mathematics): A strong educational background with a focus on analytical and quantitative skills, ensuring the ability to handle complex data-driven tasks
  • Over 8 years of analytical experience: Extensive experience in an analytical role, demonstrating a proven track record of delivering insights and driving business decisions
  • Proficiency in querying languages: Expertise in SQL or other querying languages to extract and mine data from large databases
  • Expertise in data-led storytelling: Skilled in converting data into compelling narratives that can influence business strategy
  • Strong analytical skills for extracting insights (Excel proficiency is a must): Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis, including the use of complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of managing business leadership-level stakeholders: Strong communication and relationship-building skills to effectively manage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Proficiency in analytical tools such as Amplitude, Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics Suite, will be an added advantage


  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently: Excellent multitasking skills, ensuring that various projects and deadlines are managed effectively
  • Comfort in dealing with ambiguity and the ability to extract clarity: Ability to work in uncertain environments, using data and insights to bring clarity to complex situations
  • Agility to quickly produce analytical outputs on short notice: Capable of delivering high-quality analytical work under tight deadlines, adapting to changing business needs rapidly
