Job Summary:
About the Role & Team
ESPN Corporate Citizenship team is responsible for developing the strategy, plans and implementation of ESPN Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts focused on creating access to sport for youth and fundraising for the V Foundation for Cancer Research. As part of the Walt Disney Company, ESPN’s collaboration is integral to the success of Disney CSR efforts and developing story telling assets.
As the Senior Manager of Corporate Citizenship – Social Impact at ESPN, you will report to the VP of Corporate Citizenship to assist and support a collaborative team and play a key role as team leader across all corporate responsibility functions as needed. This administrative role will act as a chief of staff and guide day-to-day operations in the offices and produce communications to arrive at the right point for increased efficiencies in the decision-making processes. The role will work on highly sensitive issues and within the highest levels of leadership at ESPN and Disney leadership. You will help drive ESPN’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, fostering strong relationships with nonprofit organizations, and enhancing the company’s impact in the community. You will ensure alignment of CSR activities with ESPN's core values and business goals, promoting a culture of giving and community engagement across the organization.
A successful candidate will have experience executing significant strategic, operational, and cultural agendas calling for considerable changes with internal and external stakeholders. Your leadership will be pivotal in creating sustainable and meaningful social change through sports and media.

- Proven success in a project coordination role
- Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
- Strong project reporting skills, developing presentations
- Proficient in creating PowerPoint presentations
- Strong familiarity of the media sector
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement CSR strategies that align with ESPN’s mission, values, and business objectives.
- Identify key areas for community impact and create programs that leverage ESPN’s unique strengths in sports and media.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of community engagement and philanthropic programs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external partners to identify opportunities for joint initiatives and maximize community impact.
- Develop and promote internal programs that encourage employee participation in community service and charitable activities.
- Create compelling narratives and reports that highlight the impact of CSR initiatives and communicate these to various audiences, including employees, stakeholders, and the public.
- Identify and secure additional funding or resources, as needed, to support CSR initiatives.
- Conduct regular assessments and reporting to ensure continuous improvement and accountability.
- Ensure all CSR activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Work closely with marketing, Disney CSR team, communications, human resources, and other departments to integrate CSR initiatives into broader company strategies.
- Support efforts to align CSR activities with ESPN’s brand and public image.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 7 years professional work experience in CSR, Communications or a related field
- Prior leadership experience in a Corporate Outreach role or related field; OR ESPN work experience that resulted in the development of broad company knowledge, proven results, and charity involvement
- Expertise in managing non-profits and effective outreach programs that align with brands and businesses
- Knowledge of sports and media industry
- Strategic thinker with ability to develop recommendations and influence perspective
- Ability to navigate financial matters
- Elite communication skills for verbal and written presentation
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications, Business or a related field
