About the Role

As the Crew Operations Specialist in Singapore, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day movement and support of all DCL Crew for the Disney Adventure. You will sustain strong relationships with key partners including Port Agents, Terminal Operations, Crew Travel and Training to manage all operations and logistics related to the Crew arrival & onboarding experience. In this role, you will serve as the primary link for returning Crew between our Procurement Allies operating in the region and DCL internal partners. You will provide local support of the DCL training strategy and coordination of onboarding. You will be responsible for onsite support of the entire Crew arrival process, special Crew activations and on-call emergency coverage for Crew movement in the region.

The role requires willingness to be flexible with work schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the ongoing organization and logistics for day-to-day Crew arrivals, embarks and debarks in the APAC region, while supporting the rest of the fleet as needed.
  • Own Crew Member transportation and training logistics ensuring they are arranged accordingly and that Crew are successfully transported to their training and port of embark.
  • In support of the Crew arrival process, liaise directly with internal and external partners, including Port Agents to audit and ensure they are operating according to Disney standards.
  • Represents Crew Operations in interactions with leadership and local partners both shipboard and shoreside.
  • Supports Crew Operations by responding to and problem-solving operational challenges, escalating to leadership as needed.
  • Provide onsite support at each Crew turn, overseeing the arrival experience & pre-embark onboarding.
  • Manages the coordination and administration of Cast & Crew onboarding and training logistics including: D-Learn management, Trad onboarding supplies, nametag & ID ordering, delivery and distribution.
  • Responsible for all Adventure/APAC region Crew communication inquiries, supporting Crew, partners, and shipboard leaders by resolving all inquiries, taking decisive action as needed. Ensures timely and effective resolution, escalating to senior leadership as needed.
  • Oversees the relationship and management of all returning Crew readiness processes including tracking, auditing and follow up of Crew with outstanding documents for our Procurement Allies in India, Philippines and Indonesia.

Requirements:

  • Experience in operations, logistics or human resources
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions and act independently with minimal oversight
  • Proven strength in teamwork, facilitation and collaboration at multiple levels
  • Self-motivated and able to find creative solutions to challenges
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to juggle competing priorites
  • Able to respond to immediate Crew situations and remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to use knowledge and resources to positively influence the Crew experience       
  • Demonstrated follow-through skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cruise, travel or hospitality industry
  • Demonstrated experience in human resources
  • Proven experience working in a diverse, global operation with international partners

Required Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
