As Chef De Rang in Remy , you will provide outstanding guest service and create a dining experience like no other. This French-inspired luxury restaurant serves gastronomic cuisine crafted by best-in-class Michelin star chefs.

You will report to the Maître d 'Hotel

Responsibilities:

How You Will Make a Difference

• Detailed menu description to guests, take orders and then set table for each course
• Coordinate service and ensure accurate timing and delivery of food to the proper table and guest
• Lead all aspects of all side work and other tasks assigned by Management
• Use computer work station (Micros system)
• Coordinate the ordering, pick-up and delivery of all food and beverage to work station and to Guests
• Partner with Demi Chef de Rang to provide a flawless experience to the Guests
• Understand food safety programs and maintain USPH (United States Public Health) sanitation and cleanliness standards throughout work area
• Practice up-selling and suggestive selling techniques
• Follow all responsible vendor procedures for alcohol service
• Bid fond farewell to all guests and ensure they enjoyed their dining experience

Basic Qualifications:

What You Will Bring to the Team

• Minimum one year (two years recommended) recent experience in the service industry in a high-level fine dining restaurant setting
• Experience in Michelin Star restaurant
• Good knowledge of international wines and cocktail recipes, and brands of alcohol
• Confident in speaking to well-traveled guests

Additional Information:

This is a SHIPBOARD role.
You must:

• Be genuinely interested in a career at sea and willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel
• Be willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency responsibilities, and associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan
• Be willing to uphold the general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control
• If applicable, be willing to share a confined cabin with other crew members and appreciative of working and living in a multicultural environment that has strict rules and regulations

Your Responsibilities:

• Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this)
• Complete a pre-employment medical
• Obtain a criminal background check
• Bring approved work shoes
