Senior Manager - Project Delivery
Job Summary:
The Sr Manager of Project Delivery is a senior leadership role within Disney Experiences, responsible for overseeing a portfolio of technical facilities projects that support our theme parks, resorts, cruise, retail, and other guest-facing environments. This leader provides direction to managers and professional staff in engineering and architecture, ensuring that project delivery strategies, standards, and resources align with Disney's guest-focused mission and long-term portfolio health.
This position will report to the Director of WDW Facilities Asset Management.
Responsibilities:
This role leads multiple related teams responsible for technical project delivery across an integrated facilities portfolio, including design oversight, construction administration, and turnover to sustainment for complex, multi-disciplinary refurbishments and capital projects. The Sr Manager Project Delivery sets priorities, allocates resources, and partners with senior leaders and regulatory stakeholders to ensure projects meet safety, quality, and performance standards while supporting the strategic needs of Disney Experiences. Success in this role requires a knowledgeable specialist and strategic leader who can mentor others, collaborate across disciplines, and manage a diverse portfolio of work.
- Envision future possibilities for the facilities portfolio and translate them into breakthrough project delivery strategies that support evolving guest experiences and operational needs.
- Align project plans and priorities with organizational goals, ensuring resources, schedules, and technical decisions are coordinated across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Build strong, collaborative partnerships with internal clients, global engineering teams, and regulatory partners, fostering a team-oriented, service-minded environment that supports complex facilities programs.
- Provide continuous coaching, feedback, and mentorship to managers and professional staff, clarifying expectations, ensuring accountability, and recognizing accomplishments to drive individual and business success.
- Develop departmental plans and priorities guided by resource availability and functional objectives, setting organizational priorities and allocating resources across a portfolio of projects.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, and retention of a high-performing, diverse team of engineering and architecture professionals, empowering career advancement and technical growth.
- Ensure projects comply with design guidelines, company standards, customer requirements, safety protocols, and applicable codes and regulations, providing guidance on complex technical and permitting issues.
- Oversee construction administration support through design consultants, ensuring quality, performance, and alignment with contract and project documents across the facilities portfolio.
- Establish and manage clear turnover processes from project delivery to sustainment, including documentation, warranty management, and updates to asset information systems and models.
- Create an environment where Disney values are experienced daily by encouraging creative problem-solving, ensuring every voice is heard, and demonstrating care, compassion, and cultural awareness.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional experience in a multi-discipline architecture/engineering environment, including 3+ years in management leading larger teams of professional employees and other leaders.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical delivery of complex facilities or construction projects, balancing priorities, resources, and stakeholder expectations in dynamic, reactive environments.
- Knowledge and competence in safety procedures and protocols applicable to facilities and construction environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with design and modeling tools such as Autodesk Revit and related applications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical peers and executives, and to present program status and decisions to senior leadership.
- Proven track record in team building, mentorship, and leading high-performing, diverse teams in a collaborative, service-minded environment.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field such as Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer (PE) with eligibility for practice in Florida or reciprocity to Florida.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or MBA.
- Five or more years of experience leading project or organizational teams consisting of salaried direct reports.
- Experience in themed entertainment, hospitality, or complex campus facilities environments, integrating multi-discipline design and operations teams.
- Active participation in professional organizations related to architecture, engineering, or facilities management to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

The hiring range for this position in Florida is $145,900.00-$195,600.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
