Summary

This role is instrumental to leading the strategic development, management and integration of business priorities for Disney Parks International (DPI), and its four theme parks in Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo. The incumbent will lead a team to drive a broad range of multi-disciplinary workstreams, requiring a robust understanding of multiple lines of businesses and strong business acumen.  

Responsibilities

  • Drive impact and execute on strategic priorities for DPI spanning across commercial, operational, financial and creative development, in alignment with Disney Experiences’ and TWDC’s key organizational drivers.
  • Responsible for development and execution of integrated franchise strategy for the international parks, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Synthesize and prioritize key information for the President and MD of DPI, advising with concise and specific recommendations for key decision-making.
  • Collaborate with site leaders and their leadership teams to identify and push forward strategic priorities for each site.
  • Drive consistency and synergy across sites (“strategic consistent but tactically divergent”) and provide regular robust updates to senior leadership.
  • Host and manage various DPI forums, including internal executive workshops and regular updates to senior leadership at Disney Experiences. 
  • Lead and provide oversight in the development of compelling and persuasive presentation materials to senior leadership, including executive reports for segment and site-based senior executives/steering committees.
  • Lead a team that acts as the key integration point between sites and other TWDC business units on company-wide initiatives to drive alignment and ensure the achievement of enterprise’s priorities.
  • Lead a team that tracks, compiles, analyzes and extracts insights from key data needed from each region to inform business strategies, such as industry trends, competitive analysis, macro factors etc., while providing thought partnership to senior leadership team in navigating the landscape.
  • Independently identify and pursue strategic value-added analysis around growth opportunities across DPI’s business and collaborate with leaders across the enterprise to drive innovation.

Talent Attributes and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Outstanding analytical, communication, and presentation skills, both verbal and in written form: ability to take complex concepts and communicate them to a broad audience in a concise and persuasive manner; effectively influence senior leadership on key decisions and direction to achieve priorities.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business/financial acumen to effectively scrutinize brand, financial, and operational implications; able to critically evaluate business models and product proposals against strategic priorities.
  • Proactively engage and collaborate with internal partners. Build and maintain strong partnerships to identify business opportunities for the segment.

  • Preferred Skills:
    • Fluency in one or more of the following languages: Mandarin, Japanese, French and Cantonese
    • Competency in quantitative analysis, with demonstrated ability to interpret, manipulate, and present quantitative data to inform strategic planning and decision making.
