About the Role:
Star Sports India is on the hunt for a passionate storyteller and proven media executive to shape the way cricket is presented on the network. This is a rare opportunity to influence and shape the sport viewing experience, across broadcast and digital platforms. As a Producer, you have a rare chance to influence the sports viewing experience across both broadcast and digital platforms. In addition to possessing extensive knowledge of the sport, the ideal candidate must have sharp and highly developed creative skills.
Context:
The incumbent will work with the Product team of Star Sports. The input team creates content for all channels of Star Sports. You understand the stories that ignite their passion for sport. You help us own the conversation. Further, you are experienced in managing live and non-live production teams and have a proven track record of bringing the best out of individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
•Shape & own the programming delivery of Kannada on every match day with a sharp focus on deepening engagement with core viewer with a high-quality broadcast.
•Oversee surround programming and beyond-live content mix on the channel.
•Work closely with Star Sports Lab, Studio & Live Production teams to deliver an exceptional on-air product.
•Create a high-performance production function which can service all areas of the business effectively, across Broadcast and Digital.
•Play a key role in setting the daily match agenda and telling stories that the State needs to hear across sport.
•Routinely deliver high quality programming in the live and non-live space that reinforces Star’s reputation as world cricket’s most progressive and respected broadcaster.
•Conjure and tell stories that are highly entertaining and build our audiences affection for the network Live & Non-Live content.
•Work closely with Star’s on-air talent ranks to extract the desired programming dynamic.
Performance Measures:
•Production delivery of all properties on the Star Sports channels for core viewers across TV & Digital medium to improve engagement.
•Develop robust and thought-provoking content plans that engage audiences for longer and drives viewership.
•Managing your production team to conform to internationally acclaimed broadcast standards and practices in TV and Digital broadcast.
Qualifications:
•Graduate/Postgraduate in any content/creative stream with minimum 6 years of experience.
•Knowledge of live broadcasting’s various aspects.
•Understanding of sports content production.
•Networking in the television production industry and knowledge of production houses as well as freelancers with requisite production skills.
•Experience of live/taped as live shows and of producing high quality features, understanding of good camerawork, and editing.
